Prof. Dr. Lasse Dinter, LL.M. (White-Collar Criminal Law), holds a professorship in criminal law, criminal procedural law, and police law (so-called intervention law). He works as a criminal defense attorney and victim advocate. He regularly publishes on topics related to criminal law and criminal procedural law.

Practice.
Since 2012, Prof. Dr. Dinter has worked as a public prosecutor, particularly prosecuting economic and tax crimes in cooperation with the police, customs and tax authorities (BuStra and FAFuSt).
He was later appointed a judge. In this capacity, he served for many years as a member of a commercial criminal division, a juvenile court, and/or a jury court in Lower Saxony, and later as a member of a commercial criminal division at the Hamburg Regional Court. As chairman of a small criminal division, he also heard appeals. He was also seconded to the Federal Ministry of Justice in Berlin, where he participated in a reform of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Today, he works as a criminal defense attorney and victim advocate. He practices this activity not as a lawyer, but as a professor of criminal law (Section 138, Paragraph 1, Second Variation, Paragraph 3 of the Code of Criminal Procedure).
